Make a good first impression and leave no minor details hanging or erroneous. The content of your covering letter must be meaty and at the same time concise. Selectively pick the details in your resume that you consider to be worth highlighting and put them in your covering letter as a way of introducing yourself. Limit yourself to a single page and do not go beyond that. Few people would really take the time to reach page two.
